The hot Riviera Maya weather provides stunning sunshine and high temperatures throughout the year. The enviable conditions are one of the key reasons for the regions popularity as a key vacation destination.

The Rainy season in Mexico usually starts in May and runs right through until October. Although it is called a rainy season, for the majority of the time there is just the odd shower. The odd spot of rain can even be quite refreshing at times and it certainly does not get too cold.
Temperatures are generally high, and there is a warm climate all year round,
so you can generally plan your vacation at the ideal time to suit you.
One
thing that you should bear in mind though is the hurricane season.
The
peak months for potential storms is usually in
September and October. Caribbean coast locations do not get hit by
hurricanes every year, but from time to time the weather can be effected by tropical storms during this period.
Many people choose to plan their vacations between the months of November to April due to the pleasant climatic conditions at this time of the year.
During this season, the Riviera Maya weather is generally very warm but not overpowering or scorching hot. Temperatures often dip just below 30c and the humidity level are usually lower.
You may enjoy the conditions during this time if you wish to explore archaeological sites like Chichen Itza and Tulum. During the peak summer months it can get really hot at these locations, so if you're really looking to explore and discover an array of historical sites in great detail you may be better suited to traveling during November and April.
If on the other hand, you are simply looking forward to relaxing on the beautiful beaches and maybe just visiting an eco park or a local cenote, then you may prefer to travel to Mexico during the hotter months.
