Without a doubt. I would personally describe the Mayan Riviera as an inspirational, picturesque and enchanting vacation destination. In my opinion, what really sets Riviera Maya Holidays apart are the never-ending list of vacation possibilities.

On an average holiday for example, you could stay in one of the impressive Mexico all inclusive resorts, explore the Mayan ruins at Tulum, enjoy delicious traditionally cooked Mexican food and find out about the fascinating history of Mexico culture. That is of course, before you even set foot on the beautiful sun-soaked Mexico beaches…

The Mayan Riviera is situated on the spectacular Caribbean Sea coastline of Quintana Roo. There are many destinations to choose from as you travel along coastal Highway 307 from Cancun International Airport.

Finding the perfect spot for your dream Riviera Maya Holidays can be a difficult task. One thing is for certain though, it doesn't matter whether you are young or old, single or attached, in a group or with the family! There is a fantastic vacation experience waiting for everyone in Mexico.

I would recommend the areas of Akumal, Tulum, Playa del Carmen and Puerto Aventuras as the most prominent and popular for enjoyable Mexican holidays.

Playa del Carmen is a tourist hot spot for travellers to Mexico and is home to the iconic 5th Avenue. Here you can find an extensive supply of restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and even the odd traditional market. Playa del Carmen Resorts range from high-end luxury to low budget hostels.

Akumal is home to a variety of extensive All Inclusive Resorts. I would describe this area as having a serene sense of calm and luxury. Many exciting Mexico attractions are close by in Akumal and the location is popular for snorkelling and scuba diving.

Tulum is famous for its historic Mayan Ruins, beautiful white sandy beaches and impressive cenotes. Tulum is generally a quiet and relaxed destination, it could be your preferred Mayan Riviera location if you are looking for eco-orientated resorts or beachfront cabanas and condos.

Puerto Aventuras is a gated resort community situated around the central hub of the Mayan Riviera Marina. The surrounding villas, condominiums and luxury Mexico Hotels are located in the ideal position alongside a variety of restaurants, shops and activity centres.

"So what qualifies me to offer advice about Vacations to Mexico?"

I created this website to offer my travel advice tips, opinions and first-hand experienced information about vacations in Mexico. We have enjoyed our Riviera Maya holidays so much that I think it's only right to share.

We were initially enticed to visit the Mayan Riviera because of the impressive range of exciting Mexico Attractions. We were enchanted by the beautiful crystal clear water beaches. We also looked forward to exploring the Mayan architecture sites (Chichen Itza is truly amazing) and we could not wait for the opportunity to enjoy snorkeling in the Caribbean Sea.

There are just so many exciting Mexico attractions to keep you busy and new places see and explore. On the other hand if you just wish to unwind, what better place to top up your tan and enjoy the beautiful weather than the tempting white sandy beaches in Mexico.

But we soon learnt that there was so much more to Riviera Maya Holidays than this, there is so much depth and awareness that is never fully covered in the glossy holiday brochures.

For example, we were really impressed by the fascinating origins of the Olmecs, Aztecs and Mayans and the traditional festivals and customs of Mexico Culture.

There are many Mayan ruins sites in Quintana Roo and the Yucatan Peninsula and many outstanding areas of natural beauty and biodiversity. If you get the chance to explore any of the historical sites or naturally cultivated geographical locations then I'm sure that you'll be as equally impressed as we were.
